The purpose of the AFA

The AFA's objectives are to:

• maintain the ethical standards of financial advisers in the interest of the public, the financial adviser and the financial services industry in general
• improve the educational standards of the financial adviser for the benefit of the public, the financial adviser and the industry
• represent generally the views and interests of financial advisers
• promote a knowledge of the value and importance in the community of the services of qualified financial advisers
• cooperate with other financial services stakeholders in the best interests of the public and the financial services industry
• promote a spirit of adviser good fellowship.
