AFA Services
Members of the AFA receive a wide range of benefits including but not limited to the following areas.
Education
AFA National Conference
Each year the AFA stages a national conference attracting the cream of the industry's international and local speakers. Members receive advance notification, early bird packages and reduced registration rates.
Professional Development Program
An annual program conducted in capital cities around Australia where leading advisers share their insights into maximising sales and advice performance. In exciting, engaging presentations they provide practical, accurate and up-to-date industry knowledge.
Public Affairs
The AFA ensures its members have a strong voice in the public sphere by representing industry views in the media, lobbying the government through bodies such as ASIC and the ATO and regularly meeting with influential politicians. If there is an issue affecting financial advisers, we will be there making sure you are heard.
Media affairs
This involves working with key industry media as well as the broader community media to represent the Association's view. If there is an issue affecting the AFA, we will be there making sure you are heard.
Information Resources
eNews bulletins and resource centre
To help keep members informed and up to date with their ever-changing industry the AFA provides a range of high quality, up-to-date information resources including regular electronic news bulletins and access to a comprehensive resource centre.
THE FINANCIAL ADVISER magazine
Included in membership is a quarterly magazine. THE FINANCIAL ADVISER contains articles about a range of topics relevant to financial advisers including information about the association, the latest industry news, practice management advice and matters of personal well being.
