Adviser feedback to Radar indicates fees of between $5000 and $7000 are being charged to value a planner’s business. Radar has prepared over 350 appraisals since 2005 helping many divorcees, partner buyouts and genuine sellers receive a written opinion. These appraisals have been quite accurate and clients are very grateful to receive Radar’s opinion. Radar in preparing an appraisal will take into account total revenue, recurring revenue and EBIT. It also looks at the business’s location, age of clients, types of platforms used, fee levels and number of clients compared to FUM.
