- Why is financial advice important to you?
The right advice can set you up for life and you can’t put a value on that. Being made redundant in the middle of Cancer treatment could have been a disaster however I had Trauma and Income Protection Insurance in place ensuring I could focus on recovery and spending time with my family, not stressing about looking for work, honestly, the right advice is priceless!
- Your favourite quote?
An oldie but a goodie – Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right. I am a big believer in the power of the mind.
- What advice would you give to your younger self?
Back yourself and it’s okay to say no.
- One thing you’ve changed in your workplace during COVID-19
Okay so technically 2 things, I bought an LED ring light for all the virtual meetings and I have embraced flexible working hours.
- What can we find you doing most weekends?
By choice, anything outside, I love getting off the grid however by necessity most weekends you’ll find me parenting. Which means cleaning, cooking, in winter coaching netball and just enjoying my awesome family.
- Have you seen anything lately that made you smile?
I smile every day, it’s really important to appreciate all the little things, they add up!
- What are you reading right now?
Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn. This book was recommended by our State Chair Jawad Ahmad after disclosing my new years resolution is to learn to meditate.
