Rachel has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, specialising in retirement and aged care for more than a decade. Currently the Principal of Aged Care Gurus, Rachel oversees a national network of advisers dedicated to providing quality advice on retirement living and aged care. Rachel writes a regular column for Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and Brisbane Times newspapers, and has co-authored a number of books, including the best seller “Aged Care Who Cares?” and ‘Downsizing Made Simple” with Noel Whittaker. She also holds a Masters in Financial Planning.


Danielle Lim, Principal,  DSL Law

Danielle is a highly experienced lawyer and the principal of DSL Law, a boutique law firm based in Queensland’s Gold Coast. Specialising in dispute resolution, Danielle and her firm have built a reputation in providing expert retirement living advice to operators and residents. Danielle is a regular speaker at industry and resident events, has consulted and advised on legislative changes, and is a current member of the Property Council’s Retirement Living Committee and the UDIA’s Seniors Living Committee. She also holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours.


Marilyn Graham, Aveo Retirement Living – Group Sales Manager

Marilyn is an experienced professional with over twenty years’ experience in real estate and property development. Marilyn has worked with some of Brisbane’s largest property developers, assisting them with marketing and sales strategies to sell off the plan residential apartments. Her experience in property development has proved invaluable to her current role as Group Sales Manager, where she manages sales activity across some of the Aveo Group’s largest communities, with a portfolio value of approximately $180M. Marilyn holds a Bachelor of Arts and is a Licensed Real Estate Agent.
