Summary
Christine Swanson is the Senior Financial Adviser and Director of Prominent Financial Services; she started her career 27 years ago. She is passionate about improving the perception of financial advice within the community and helping more women step up into leadership roles; she attributes her success to creating great relationships built upon honesty and trust. Christine believes strongly in giving back, she continues to be involved in a number of mentoring programs and industry initiatives; her business is a Women Friendly Accredited business as she feels that it is vitally important that women seek financial advice to improve their financial future. Christine plays active roles within the community, she is an Ambassador for Cancer Council SA and had raised over $200,000 to help beat cancer, she is the State Chapter chair for Inspire an AFA initiative to help women learn, plan and achieve. Christine was a 2012 finalist in the AFA Female Excellence in Advice Awards, SA 2013 Securitor Adviser of the Year and 2013 winner of Money Management Industry Advocate Award. Christine plays active roles with many industry associations as she believes in being at the forefront in helping improve the industry, legislation and profession. In the work place, Christine works to reflect her own personal values of integrity and fair play. She allows her staff to make decisions and take responsibility for their actions, rather than referral and passing on responsibility within the group. It is encouraged that others manage their responsibilities, while taking and giving appropriate feedback along the way.
