Mark Rigby
Background
Summary
I started our small family business in financial services in 2003 initially providing mortgage lending advice. In 2009 I had a call from a client, whose wife had just passed away three weeks after giving birth to their first child. My client was struggling to manage the mortgage that I had previously arranged for them. That phone call left me devastated. This experience made me realise that yes I was helping clients buy their homes, but was I really helping them over the long term? So in 2010 I made the decision to train as a financial adviser. Since then seeing the real positive difference I have made to my clients and their families means that although I still advise on mortgage requirements, my passion is to help clients understand where they may be vulnerable to lives uncertainties and to help them create a plan to build better financial freedom for their future.
