SYDNEY: 23 September 2022 – Amie Baker of Rekab Advice in New South Wales has been announced as the winner of the 2022 Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Female Excellence in Advice Award (the Award) by the AFA and TAL.
Celebrating its tenth year, this award is a joint initiative of the AFA and TAL, recognising and showcasing the talents and contributions of women in financial advice to their clients, the community and their profession.
The Award criteria includes assessment of each candidate’s contributions to financial literacy in the community and/or campaigns targeted specifically at helping female clients take control of their financial lives.
AFA CEO, Phil Anderson, said “Amie Baker is a truly inspiring individual and a worthy winner of the 2022 Female Excellence in Advice Award. This was a keenly contested award, with six outstanding finalists, who each had their own compelling story. Amie is a strong advocate for females in financial advice and also in helping to educate females across the country on the importance of financial literacy. She has two podcast series, Centsability and Equity Gals, and she is actively teaching other female advisers how to help change their clients’ money mindsets. This award helps to demonstrate the real difference that great female advisers can make in changing the lives of so many for the better.”

The Award was presented at the Gala Dinner at the AFA Thrive Adviser Conference on the Gold Coast this evening.
