AFA Board approved By-Laws changes

AFA News 3 December 2020.  As indicated in the AFA Policy and Education Update on Thursday 26 November 2020, the AFA Board met this week to review and approve changes to the AFA By-Laws.  In part, these changes have been made to address the TPB’s expectations with respect to a professional association disciplinary regime.

The key changes are as follows:

  • An option for the AFA Board to suspend a member who has been charged with a serious offence, whilst the matter is in front of the Courts.
  • The commencement of public reporting of disciplinary matter outcomes from 1 January 2021.
  • A commitment to commence sharing information with respect to serious disciplinary matters with licensee partners.
