AFA Conference ‘Thrive’ – Program announced

SYDNEY: 27 July 2022 – The AFA has released its highly anticipated Conference Program for the event being held at the RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast on 21-23 September 2022.

After three years without an in-person Conference, the AFA are pleased to be bringing the financial advice community together again showcasing an impressive line-up of sessions and speakers.

As the major event on the Advice profession’s calendar, this year the AFA has put together two and half days of inspiring thought leaders both from in and outside the Advice profession.

Conference delegates will be treated to keynote speakers of the calibre of the remarkable and resilient 2 x world para surfing champion, Sam Bloom (sponsored by MLC Life), as well as courageous leader, Major Matina Jewell (Retired).

Inspiring stories from adventurer and environmental scientist, Tim Jarvis (sponsored by AIA), complement the insightful and always entertaining, Vinh Giang (sponsored by TAL).

Minister for Financial Services, Stephen Jones, is on the agenda as well as a panel discussion with Michelle Levy on the Quality of Advice Review. With other sessions on ESG investing and the broader global economic outlook, the AFA has also weaved into the program a number of leading advisers sharing their tips on implementing best practice solutions and importantly, achieving great client outcomes.

The AFA’s annual Awards program is also back with Zurich sponsored ‘Adviser of the Year’ and TAL sponsored ‘Female Excellence in Advice’ awards both being presented at the Conference Gala Dinner on 23 September.

AFA President, Sam Perera, said “We are excited to be hosting our valued members and partners once again at the RACV Royal Pines, providing a strong program of quality content, speakers and social activity as well as awarding the best and brightest in our profession.”

Attendees can still register at a special early bird rate through to 8 August 2022. AFA members can register for early bird at $1,095, and non-members for $1,395.
