AFA launches Meet the Educators

at the AFA Conference

SYDNEY: 5 October 2018 – The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has announced it will be introducing Meet the Educators at the AFA National Adviser Conference on the Gold Coast next week.

AFA Conference Chair, Michael Nowak, said Meet the Educators has been designed to help AFA members understand the various education options available to them. "Each adviser has a different background, a different experience and a different set of skills, so we know that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work," he said. "Meet the Educators offers advisers the opportunity to meet with financial advice educators and assess the various options."

Kaplan Professional, Deakin University, Griffith University, Western Sydney University, Charles Sturt University and Monarch/University of New England will present their offers. "Each educator will also explain how they will support advisers in meeting higher education requirements," Mr Nowak said. "As the format is a series of roundtable sessions, advisers can engage in open dialogue with educators and ask questions."

Meet the Educators will run alongside the AFA Conference's popular Meet the Innovators, Meet the Professionals and Meet the Mentors roundtables on Friday 12 October. The Meet roundtables are 40-minute power sessions of 10 to 20 delegates, conducted by a leading professional, innovator, mentor or educator.
