AFA News 12 May 2022.  We are excited to bring you the AFA National Roadshow 2022 as the first National face-to-face event since early 2020. The AFA Roadshows commence in Perth on Tuesday 24 May and concludes in Melbourne on Thursday 2 June 2022.

The AFA’s CEO Phil Anderson will share a policy and advocacy update, discussing the Federal Election, Education Standard, Single Disciplinary Body, Financial Adviser Exam, APRA’s intervention in the IDII market and the very important Quality of Advice Review.

Adam Crabbe, from Zurich is presenting a session on Income Protection product myths, claims and consumer insights combined with the latest research on how advisers are balancing old and new product designs for their clients.

TAL’s interactive Ethics session provides those all-important Ethics CPD hours. This session will focus on everyday ethical dilemmas faced by financial advisers when providing financial advice. This panel session includes practising financial advisers who will discuss how to approach real-life client situations involving ethical dilemmas.

AMP economists, Shane Oliver and Diana Mousina will speak about the macroeconomic outlook, particularly with the impact of inflation, interest rate rises and the war in Ukraine and what this means for investment markets – including shares, fixed interest and property.
