AFA News 6 October 2022. The Australian Law Reform Commission is currently undertaking a ‘Review of the Legislative Framework for Corporations and Financial Services Regulation’. As part of this review, a group of researchers from four different universities, led by the University of Wollongong, are conducting a research project to solicit views from professionals relating to the legislative framework for financial services regulation.
The researchers are particularly interested in hearing from members who are working in the banking, superannuation and financial services industries or individuals acting as intermediaries between consumers of financial products and the service provider such as brokers and advisers. To volunteer to participate in this research or simply to find out more about it please email Dr Paul Mazzola from the University of Wollongong at paulmaz@uow.edu.au. He will then contact you with further information about participating in the research.
In addition to the Quality of Advice Review, the ALRC is also undertaking a critically important review of the legislative framework for Financial Services and this research is a key chance to contribute to this review. We encourage anyone who is interested to contact Dr Paul Mazzola.
