AFA News 23 April 2020. On the back of the important announcement by ASIC last week on relief measures related to the provision of financial advice during the coronavirus crisis, other recent developments have included:

• Access for super fund members to claim early release of superannuation benefits became available earlier this week.
• ASIC have set up a valuable resource page to explain the early access scheme and the steps that people need to take. This includes among other things, seeking advice from a financial adviser.
• Companies are also now starting to submit applications for the JobKeeper payment.
