AFA News 3 February 2021. The first round of the FASEA exam for 2021 was held over the period 28 January to 2 February 2021. Best of luck to our members who sat this first round. The next round of the exam will be 25 to 30 March 2021, and advisers have until 5 March 2021 to register.
To maximise your number of attempts of the FASEA exam, it is important that you sit one of the first two rounds. This will allow advisers up to three attempts during 2021, by being able to sit every second exam. The ideal outcome is to pass the exam at the next attempt, and not needing to contemplate the prospect of sitting it again. Preparation is key.
Enrol in a pre-exam webinar from FASEA
FASEA are now providing pre-exam webinars to help candidates in preparing for the exam. We strongly encourage all advisers sitting the exam, to attend one of these FASEA webinars. Exam candidates will be notified directly by FASEA of these webinar opportunities.
Properly preparing for the exam is critical. This is not just about ‘knowing your stuff’, but also being prepared for exam conditions and managing your nerves. We encourage members to consider all these elements and to think about what support is available and needed.
Other Training courses available and Kaplan offering free enrolment to KAPE
If you are interested in exam preparation help before you attempt the FASEA exam, the two education providers that the AFA recommends are Kaplan and TAL:
- Kaplan Professional for the Kaplan Adviser Exam (KAPE)
The Kaplan Adviser Practice exam offers you the material needed to study for the FASEA exam and gives you a practice exam to help you prepare for the real thing. You need to allow approximately 4 weeks to go through the content and sit the practice exam. Please click here to enrol into KAPE.
FREE ENROLMENT until 30 June 2021:
Kaplan have recently announced it will offer free enrolment into the Kaplan Adviser Practice Exam (KAPE) until 30 June 2021 to help advisers prepare for the FASEA exam.
