FASEA November Exam is now open for registrations

AFA News 26 August 2021. The November exam is now open for bookings. The booking period opened on 18 August and will close on 29 October 2021. If you need to sit for the November exam, please click here to book your place.

The FASEA amendment, to allow relief from the three-month waiting period rule between the September and the November exam, has been issued. This means anyone who fails the September exam is eligible to book in and sit the November exam.

Keep in mind, the November exam is the last chance to sit the exam in 2021.  On the basis of the current law, any existing financial adviser, who has not passed the exam by the end of this year, is unable to continue to be registered on the ASIC Financial Adviser Register.

The Better Advice Bill, which the Government has promised will allow those advisers who have attempted the exam at least twice by the end of this year, to get an extension through until 30 September 2022, has been passed in the House of Representatives.  The debate of this Bill started in the Senate on 9 August 2021, however, it has been paused since then, and we are keenly watching to see any progress.
