Financial adviser exam – July sittings
AFA News 8 July 2022. The dates for the July exam sitting are 28 July – 1 August 2022. If you intend to book in for that exam you must do so before the close off date of Tuesday 12 July 2022.
Importantly, the July exam is the last available date for those existing advisers, who were eligible for the exam extension to 30 September 2022, to complete the exam.
We want to encourage advisers to sit and pass the exam so that we retain as many as possible of the 882 existing advisers who qualified for the exam extension and allow them to continue to provide valuable financial advice to everyday Australians.
If eligible advisers have not passed the exam, they will need to stop providing advice from 1 October 2022.
To become re-authorised after 1 October 2022 and to commence providing advice again, they will need to pass the exam, complete the education requirements and the professional year. Any adviser in this category will not have to apply for an ASIC Exam Eligibility Number (EEN), instead they can register directly with ACER using their FAR number
